Old Crowns or Veneer Removal

Old crowns or veneers may need removal when they are damaged, loose, discolored, or no longer fit properly. Removal is done carefully to protect the underlying tooth. The tooth can then receive a new crown or veneer for function and aesthetics. Sometimes the old material is cut and lifted off in sections. This is not done in every case, only when restorations fail or need replacement.
